The São Paulo Innovation and Science Diplomacy School (InnSciD SP) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) have joined forces and are organizing a full-fledged Innovation and Science Diplomacy School from 4th to 13th August 2021.
InnSciD SP is the world’s first school devoted to both Innovation and Science Diplomacy. Since 2019, InnSciD SP has been providing training to scientists, diplomats and representatives of the private sector from all over the world on the rich and multidisciplinary intersection between science, technology, innovation and foreign policy.
The World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries, known as TWAS, supports sustainable prosperity through research, education, policy and diplomacy. To this end, it periodically holds regional workshops on Science Diplomacy. The school co-organized with InnSciD SP constitutes the Latin American and Caribbean edition of the workshop.
InnSciD SP + TWAS 2021 will present a comprehensive program divided into two parts:
a) Science Diplomacy Latin America and Caribbean Regional Workshop (4th to 6th of August)
b) InnSciD SP + TWAS Innovation and Science Diplomacy Workshop (9th to 13th of August)
The first week is devoted to Science Diplomacy topics closely related to the Latin American and Caribbean regional context.
The second part addresses global Innovation and Science Diplomacy themes and aims at deepening the conceptual and practical understanding of these fields.
Please apply for InnSciDSP-TWAS 2021 by filling the form below. The selection will be in competitive basis. Regional distribution, gender and race balance, and professional background will be considered in the selection process.
